January 2013 Ipsy Bag!

Hey loves! I got my first Ipsy bag and I was so excited I just have to show you! Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription service that is $10 a month! You get a makeup bag and 4 to 5 beauty samples. Not just sample size either but real size! I will show you what I got and put retail prices at the end of the post along with some coupon codes for the items! I will also give my opinions on the items as I use them!! Let me know if you get Ipsy!

I for a navy blue medium sized makeup bag that has a star pattern inside. I am using it to store my going out makeup and love it!
The first thing I pulled out of the bag was the full sized Soho makeup brush! You could get one of three brushes and I got the eyeliner brush! This was the one I was hoping to get and use to help create smokey eyes. This retails for $7.99 and you can get it here: http://www.walgreens.com/search/results.jsp?N=2000010814&Ntt=Soho/?g. They have a sale going on now to get $3 off!

The next item is Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play Hairspray. This is a travel size and held my hair really well when I wore it in a bun to work for 7 hours and it smells amazing. This retails for $6 and you can get $5 off a purchase of $25 or more of Big Sexy Hair with the coupon code 70950 at ulta.com!

The next item is the Tuscan Blood Orange body butter. This stuff smells amazing and makes my hands so soft without making them greasy. This is a good sized bottle and fits great in a purse. This retails for $7 and you can get 20% off your order at http://www.pacificaperfume.com/natural-body-butter/tuscan-blood-orange-mini-body-butter-tube with coupon code beauty20.

Next up was Nailtini nail polish in the color Frappe. I was a little disappointed in this because you could get 2 colors either this sheer nude color or red. I got this one and it seems so sheer that I probably wont ever wear it. I am going to wear it at least once to see how long it lasts till it chips. The only good thing about this product is that it is full sized. Nailtini retails for $13 and you can get 30% off of a purchase with the code ipsystar here: http://www.tinibeauty.com/products/straight_up_color_frappe.cfm.

The last item was Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan oil that you can use on your nails, hair, skin, and face. I was so excited for this because it is a very luxurious oil. I have used it on my cuticles for a couple days and it has made my nails so much stronger and my cuticles less dry. The smallest bottle of this retails for $14 and you can get 15% off an order of $45 or more with the coupon code ipsy15 here: http://www.josiemarancosmetics.com/shop/ipsy.

Overall I rate my first bag a B-. I am excited about everything except for the nailpolish. Sheer nailpolish isn't my thing and I think they should have sent a more unique color for me to try.
The bag all together retails for about $48! That is a steal at $10 and I cannot wait to get my bag next month!
Let me know if you use any of the coupon codes or get Ipsy!

Goody QUIK STYLE Paddle Brush Review

Hey guys! I recently received a Goody QUIK STYLE Paddle Brush in my Holiday 2012 VoxBox that I wanted to review. This brush is about 3 inches by 5 inches and has normal plastic bristles nestled in a bed of microfiber cloth that is supposed to help absorb access water and cut drying time down by 30% either air drying or with a blow dryer!
The company also says that since the brush is made of microfiber cloth it will never get moldy or have mildew.
I was excited to try this product out because I have long thick hair that I exclusively air dry so this would help the process. After I showered I put my leave in products in my hair and then I brushed it once with my regular brush to get the access goop out. I then ran this over my hair and did find that it soaked up some water. It wasn't an immediate result but I did pass it over my hair again in a half an hour and my hair was half dry! It usually takes a few hours for this to happen so I was very pleased!

I have seen people say it helps with blow drying too so if I ever blow dry my hair I will defiantly be using this. I also find that when I brush my hair when its dry with this it leaves it smooth and the microfiber acts against static which is nice.

In the pictures below you can see its a great size and the vents on the sides allow it to dry quickly.
I found this at many local stores like Target and Walmart for around $11. I would recommend this.

EBOOST Natural Energy Review

Hello Everyone!
I received an EBOOST Natural Energy packet in my Holiday VoxBox in the flavor pink lemonade. The packet says to dissolve in water and that it contains natural ingredients including energy supplements and vitamins and minerals.I was starting to feel a cold coming on when I had to go to work so I thought this would be great to drink all day.
As soon as I opened the package I was overwhelmed with a disgusting smell from the powder. I pushed through and dissolved the packet into my water. The first sip tasted ok but as I drank more and more I cringed with each sip. It defiantly did not taste like pink lemonade. I drank the whole package and did not feel a boost of energy. The only reason I kept drinking was to get all the vitamins and minerals that were in the packet.

I would not re purchase this product and wouldn't recommend it for the taste to anyone.
EBOOST can be purchased on the website http://www.eboost.com/. According to the website these were made by Julian Michaels and the price for the smallest box of 20 packets is $28. A bit pricy for my taste.

Have a Sunny Day!
