April Ipsy/ MyGlam Opening!

Hello girlies :)
Today I am opening my April Ipsy bag! I am pleased with this bag and am happy that it comes with 3 full sized products :) The bag's theme is Pretty in Pink. Also there is a paper in the bag talking about the Generation Beauty event happening in LA and to get a ticket for $60 rather then $150 use the code IPSYSUB.

The first product I pulled out was the Sation Nail polish exclusively made in shades for Ipsy. The color I got is a nudish coral called "Love at First Byte". I am not a fan of the color only because it is a nude. I received a nude in my January Ipsy bag from Nailtini so I wish they would have saw that and given me the pink color. I do like that it is full sized though and will try it out. It seemed sheer when I tried to put a coat on my nail but it might be build able. It retails for $5 at http://store.misspn.com/ and when you use the promo code IPSY30 you can get 20% off.

Next I got the Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Hair Treatment with Argon Oil. This is a deluxe size but not full sized. If you use it on wet hair it speeds up blow drying time and on dry hair it helps tame frizz which is good in this spring humid weather. It smells OK but not overpowering. The size I received is .85 fluid ounces and a full size is 4.2 ounces and retails for $21.95 at http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod4270093 and you can get $5 off your $25 purchase. If this works I might try a full sized because I love products for my hair especially with Argon Oil.

Next I received the Mica Beauty Cosmetics Mineral Eye shadow or loose powder in Earth. I didn't want to receive the other option which was the Two Cosmetics eye shadow so I was excited. I am not sure how to use this so if you guys have any suggestions let me know. This product is full sized and retails for $14.95 at http://www.micabeauty.com/mineral-eye-shadows-1.html and you can receive 30% with promo code IPSY30.

The final product I got in my bag was Be a Bombshell in the color Sweet Cheeks. This is a full sized blush. I am excited to try this because I don't use blush and am currently looking at trying it. This seems to be a satiny finish and feels very soft when applied to the skin. I will be watching some tutorials on YouTube on how to apply blush so feel free to send me some of your favorite links. This product retails for $16 at http://beabombshellcosmetics.com/blush/ and you can receive 30% off and a free pink shadow with promo code IPSY30.

Overall I rate this bag B+. Even though there were only 4 products 3 of them were full sized! I am not a fan of the nail polish color but maybe one of my friends would enjoy it. All the other products I will use and hopefully love. The full sized products add up to about $35.95 which is a steal at $10!

April Pop Sugar Unboxing!!!!

Hey guys! So I was really excited to try out Pop Sugar Must Have boxes! It is a monthly subscription box and for $35 a month you get over $100 worth of products that can range from fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and fitness. Since This box is a bit pricey I am giving it 3 strikes until I cancel. Unfortunately my first month was also my first strike. I don't like to complain about things but compared to boxes I have seen in the past this one was a C-. I feel like they made this one bad in order to get people to buy the Summer Must Have box for $100! I almost fell for it but decided not to give in! Read on for individual products prices reviews and where to get them! Also watch like and subscribe to my YouTube and Blog :) Feel free to leave comments :)

First is the Quinoa Dark Chocolate crisp bar. This retails for $3.99 on www,alterecofoods.com. The theme for April goes along with Earth day so everything in the box is environmentally friendly which I like. My roomate and I tried this and it is good! It also comes with a $1.00 coupon. I may or may not repurchase. I don't like that this cheap chocolate was a main item in the box only because it is only $3.99. If it was an extra it would have been fine but since there were only 5 items in the box this month I am not pleased.

Next is Tatcha Petal Fresh Evening Aburatorigami Beauty Papers AKA blotting papers. These retail for $15 at www.tatcha.com. These blotting papers are made of all natural ingredients which is nice. I did use them and they worked without leaving a weird after smell. I however think they are over priced and wouldn't be purchasing them in the future. I usually get blotting papers from ELF or Clean and Clear which cost $3 and do the same thing. Again like the chocolate I feel like this item should have been an extra and not a main item since it is so generic and not unique.

Next in the box is Kai Perfume Oil. This retails for $48! This product is full sized even though it looks small and you can get it at www.kaifragrance.com. The brochure  says that stars such as Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Jennifer Garner use. The perfume is a rollerball container and smells of sweet gardenia and white exotic flowers. The only reason I don't like this scent is because I don't like floral scents. I am more of a fruity fragrance girl. Although I wouldn't wear this I feel that other women who like floral scents would enjoy it because it doesn't smell like fake synthetic flowers. I am going to be giving it to my mom because she likes florals.
This is my favorite product in the box this month! It is a bracelet from Shashi called the New Nugget Bracelet and retails for $28 at www.shopshashi.com. It is a gold plated rope bracelet, I am assuming 24K and it is brown and turquoise colored strings. I like this because it is on trend and can go with everything! I have worn it the past 2 days and feel like I am going to be wearing it alot more in the summer. I recommend this bracelet and want to buy more!
The last item in the box is the Green Garmento Four-in-One Reusable Dry Cleaning Bag. This retails for $9.99 at www.greengarmento.com. I read that this item was from the show Shark Tank which I thought was cool. It can be made into a garment bag, hamper, laundry bag, or duffel bad depending on how you tie it or pull the drawstrings which I think is awesome for travel! It has the Pop Sugar logo in neon pink and a clear sleeve to put identification in. This is my second favorite item in the bag and recommend it.

Overall I was not impressed with this box. I am hoping that future ones are better or I will cancel. This bag does come to a total of: $104.98 which isn't bad since they do promise each bag is worth over $100. I do think they could have replaced the chocolate and the blotting papers with something more exotic and unique.

March Favorites and Not Favorites!

Hey guys! I am going to try to start doing monthly videos about my favorite and not favorite products each month. This one is my first one and it is for March 2013. I will put some sections below that are the things I like and dislike and if you guys have questions feel free to ask them. Also like and subscribe to my YouTube and on here :)

Things I liked:

The first product I am loving this month is

e.l.f. Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette - Limited Edition in the Color Brights

and it is on sale for $6!!! I recommend it especially if you are starting up a makeup collection like mine. It is very pigmented and lasts all day with 5 different palette options to choose from!

Here is the link: Palette

Next is the Maybelline Falsies Flared Mascara. I use it in Black. I am really picky with my mascara and usually change it pretty often since it usually either clumps or dries out fast. I like a look that is thick and full and this mascara does the trick! I don't have very thick or long lashes but this helps achieve that look! You can find this mascara at many drugstores and sometimes there are even sales!

Finally for my likes it the

Tan Icon Sunless Tanning Spray retailing for $20!

If you use code Cara20 you can get 20% off! They have 2 color options, regular and extreme! They both come with the sponges you use to "wipe" on the product. I like this because it doesn't have a bad smell, you can see where it is going so there are no streaks, and it lasts a few days while giving a nice natural glow. It has lasted me 3 days so far but usually when I shower I scrub it all off and start over so I am not sure if it would last 7 days. To keep it lasting long use lotions every night.

Things I disliked:
The first thing I disliked was Nature Bounty's Hair Skin and Nails pills. I tried these in 3 separate sessions and experienced the side effects of migraines and acne flare ups. Every time I would take these pills during the days I would get migraines  I started taking them at night and got major acne flareups so this was a major STOP moment for me. They might react differently with another person's body and work wonders but for now I am switching to Biotin which has no side effects.

Next on my dislike list is Elf nail polishes. The first one I tried was Dream Maker and it was a thick silvery rainbow glitter that smelled horrible! This polish smells so bad I could even smell it on my nails after adding many layers of topcoats. I felt like I couldn't wear it to class because I thought everyone could smell it. The next one came in a trio and it is in a Mint color. It was thick and gloopy and chipped after one day even with topcoat! I have a few other Elf polishes because they are so darn cheap so I will let you guys know if they are all like that.

My final dislike is of the website http://www.jubileejewelz.com/. I ordered a bracelet and ring for my birthday when they were having a huge sale and was so excited. After ordering the products and after they took out the money they contacted me saying they didn't have the product and I could choose another color option. They only had 2 options out of the 10 they originally had so I was not pleased. They also told me I would receive a free gift which I did not get either. When I got the bracelet it was way smaller then I thought. The problem I have with them is they don't show items on a person on their website so you don't know what a product will look like on a person. Also I was upset that they took my money when they didn't have my product and that they weren't prepared for the big sale they had put on.
